The Journal Review of Extensive Reading through the Internet: Is it Worth the While?

On this blog, I will explain about journal that I have chosen to read and analyze during critical reading lessons. The journal is an international journal of English studies entitled "Extensive Reading through the Internet: Is it Worth the While?" by JUAN PINO SILVA from Universidad Simón Bolívaryang, Caracas, Venezuela.

I. INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this article is to describe web-based ER (w-ERP) programs, which evolved from previous paper-based versions (p-ERP). The article begins with an overview of what is needed for extensive reading and reading (RO) and the reasons for including it in the ESL / EFL reading program. Second, a brief description of the predecessor of paper-based programs is presented, followed by the design and procedural details of w-ERP. The fourth part presents and discusses the initial data about the benefits or benefits felt by participants in w-ERP. This article concludes with comments about the pedagogical potential of reading online extensively, on the adjustments that will be made on w-ERP based on the experiences and comments and suggestions of students for further research.
